Ben Stokes ruled out of IPL, players who can replace English all-rounder

Mumbai, April 14: Rajasthan Royals (RR) has suffered a huge blow in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League with star all-rounder Ben Stokes being ruled out of the tournament with a broken finger.

Stokes while taking a brilliant catch to dismiss Chris Gayle during the match against Kings XI Punjab, injured his finger which immediately required medical attention. The Royals later issued a statement confirming Stokes has been ruled out of the tournament.
 
 
 
"Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ben Stokes injured a finger on his left hand while fielding during the team's match against Punjab Kings on 12 April 2021 in Mumbai," the franchise said in a statement on Tuesday evening.

"Subsequent investigations revealed that he sustained a broken finger, which will, unfortunately, rule him out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2021 season," the statement further read.

There are players like Marnus Labuschagne (Australia), Alex Hales (England), Thisara Perrera (Sri Lanka), Glenn Phillips (New Zealand), Adil Rashid (England) who can replace the English all-rounder.
