"You are a Muslim, shame on you": Pacer Mohammad Shami gets trolled by radical Muslims for Dussehra greetings

New Delhi, Oct 6: Dussehra festival, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, was being celebrated across the country today with full enthusiasm on Wednesday. However, Indian pacer Mohammad Shami had to face the wrath of radical Islamists after wishing a happy Dussehra to everyone on social media.

 

 

 

In the tweet, he said, On the happy occasion of Dussehra, I pray that Lord Ram fills your life with lots of happiness, prosperity, and success. Happy Dussehra to you and your family. #mdshami11 #Dussehra"

 

When one goes to the comment section, several radical Islamists said slammed the cricketer for wishing people on a Hindu festival as he is a Muslim.

 

A Twitter user named Akeel Bhatti wrote 'Shame on Shami. Are you a Muslim?'

 

 

When Hindu users slammed these radicals, a user said, "Yes no issue wishing non muslims brothers and sisters on their festivals but muslim faith is that there is no god but Allah. How can he wish other gods to fulfill some1 dreams. Just say happy diwali or Christmas or whatever the festival is."

 

 

 

 

 

Previously, he was also trolled for the same reason. A torrent of social media abuse was aimed at the only Muslim player in the Indian playing XI, Mohammed Shami, after his side were thrashed by arch rivals Pakistan at the T20 World Cup. Hundreds of messages were left on Shami's Instagram account saying he was a "traitor" and should be thrown out of the Indian team.
