Indian cricketer Virat Kohli along with his wife, actress Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika sought blessings from an Ashram in Hrishikesh. In pictures currently making rounds on social media, Virat and Anushka can be seen praying to Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj’s samadhi at Swami Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh.
Notably, Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj was the ‘spiritual guru’ of PM Narendra Modi.
Both have reached Rishikesh to pay a spiritual visit to the holy temple before the much anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Virat Kohli has been rested from the ongoing three-match T20I series against New Zealand.
Kohli, Anushka, and Vamika are there along with his yoga trainer who also stayed in the ashram. On Tuesday (January 31) morning, after yoga practice and worship, a public religious ritual will be organised in Ashram and Bhandara will also be arranged.
This comes weeks after the couple’s visit to Neem Karoli Baba’s ashram and their visit to a spiritual guru in Vrindavan. After returning to the team after his last spiritual journey, Kohli smashed two ODI centuries in three games against Sri Lanka and took his tally of international hundreds to 74.
