International Chess Champion Faisal gets govt job under sports quota in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 10: For the last few years, a number of sports-loving youths have shown tremendous performance on the National and International level in Kashmir. As a result, they also got government jobs under the sports quota. Similarly, International Chess Champion Faisal is one of them who got a government job under the sports quota.

Hailing from the Saraf Kadal area of Srinagar city, Faisal started his education at Zulfikar School in Soura in Srinagar. Faisal is very talented since his childhood and he was trained as a Chess champion from his father who was also a Chess champion at his age.
 
Faisal participated in a number of National and 2 International championships in many countries. With the help of his hard work and his parent’s support, he became the first boy in Jammu and Kashmir, whose picture was published in Sportstar Magazine at the age of 8.
 
Presently, Faisal is working as a government teacher in the Ganderbal district.
