Mumbai Indian's Issy Wong on Friday scripted history as she became the first player in the Women's Premier League to bag a hat-trick. She achieved this feat against UP Warriorz in Eliminator match dismissing Kiran Navgire, Simran Shaikh and Sophie Ecclestone in the 13th over to pick a hat-trick.

 

Wong, in the 13th over, bagged the wicket of Navgire as the UP batter lobbed a simple catch to Nat Sciver-Brunt. On the next ball, Wong produced a stunner to bowl out Simran Shaikh for 0. The hat-trick ball saw Wong claiming the wicket of Sophie Ecclestone for 0.

 

 

This helped Mumbai Indian to storm into the finals of WPL. Nat Sciver-Brunt's unbeaten 72 followed by Issy Wong's four wickets including a hat-trick helped Mumbai Indians register a comprehensive win over UP Warriorz in the Eliminator.

 

With this win, Mumbai Indians have reached the final of the WPL, where they will take on Delhi Capitals.
