Islamabad, May 4: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi, in a rant on a news channel, has criticized Indian PM Narendra Modi for his policies on Pakistan.
This came after Afridi was speaking about Asia Cup 2023 to a Pakistani news channel. He said Pakistan cannot expect the Modi govt to act in its favour ever and that the PCB cannot do much in case India decides against touring Pak for Asia Cup 2023.
"PCB can't do anything in case India decides against touring Pakistan for Asia Cup".
Pakistan are scheduled to host the Asia Cup 2023, but India have refused to travel to Pakistan for the event due to tensions between the two countries. To resolve the issue, Pakistan proposed a hybrid model during an Asian Cricket Council meeting.
Under this model, all teams would play in Pakistan, except for India, which would play in a different country. However, India has also rejected this proposal and is now pushing for the entire tournament to take place in a neutral location.
