In a historic win against South Africa at Newlands, India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second Test at the Newlands Cricket Stadium here on Thursday and levelled the two-match series 1-1 in two days.
India, who had lost the first Test at Centurion by an innings and 32 runs, made a strong comeback and defeated the hosts in their den. It was India's first win in Cape Town as they breached the Fortress Newlands.

1. Rohit Sharma becomes the first Asian captain to win a Test at Cape Town.
2. Rohit Sharma is also the only second captain who levelled the series against South Africa after the MS Dhoni-led side equalled the three-match series by 1-1 in 2013.
