Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav creates IPL record in MI vs SRH

Sharjah, Oct 9: Ishan Kishan smashed the fastest fifty of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 while Suryakumar Yadav slammed 82 off 40 balls as Mumbai Indians scored their highest ever total -- 235/9 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday.

 

 

On Friday night here in UAE, Mumbai Indians recorded their highest total in the IPL, surpassing the 223 for 6 against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2017.

 

The Paltan also registered the highest total by any team in the IPL in the UAE beating Delhi Capitals' 228 for 4 against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah last year. Mumbai Indians' 235 is also the highest total by any team in the IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

 

 

Ishan Kishan needed just 16 balls to complete his half-century, the fastest for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. It is also the fastest by any player in the IPL in the UAE. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav came up to the top and smacked a quickfire half-century off just 24 balls. Yadav also hit 13 fours and 3 sixes during his knock.
