ICC announces T20 World Cup schedule, arch-rivals India and Pakistan clash on Oct 24

Dubai, 18 August: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the full schedule of the 2021 T20 World Cup taking place in UAE and Oman from 17 October to 14 November. The first match of India will be against arch-rival Pakistan on October 24 and this will start off the Group 2 of T20.

India’s second match will take place on the 31st of October against New Zealand in Dubai. In the third match, India will lock horns against Afghanistan, on the 3rd of November.
 
Team India which will be led by Virat Kohli, will then face the first-placed side from Group B on the 5th of November in Dubai. This group will conclude on the 8th of November. India will then be in the second-placed Round 1 qualifier from Group A.
 
 
Semi Finals: The first semi-final will be held on the 10th of November in Abu Dhabi at 6 pm local time. The second semi final will be hosted by Dubai on the 11th of November. Both of these have reserve dates.
 
Finals: As for the finals, the marquee class will happen on the 14th of November, Sunday, at 6 pm local time in Dubai. Monday is the reserve day for the finals.
 
A fact about this World Cup was that it was to be hosted initially by India but due to Corona virus pandemic, it is now being held in the UAE and Oman.
