New Delhi, Nov 7: Former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad has poked Pakistan over entry into the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. This came after South Africa suffered a shock defeat to the Netherlands in Adelaide on Sunday, November 6.
South Africa, Pakistan, and India were looking to book berths in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. However, Temba Bavuma's side needed to win the last group-stage match but bowed out of the tournament as they failed to chase down the required 159-run target set by the Netherlands.
Speaking about the same, Prasad took to Twitter to poke Pakistanis after green shirts defeated Bangladesh. Netherlands' unexpected win over South Africa kept Pakistan's World Cup hopes alive. If the Netherlands had lost to South Africa, Pakistan would have had to depend on the India-Zimbabwe match outcome.
