As former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan revealed his wife Safa Baig's face on the occasion of their 8th wedding anniversary, radical Islamists slammed the cricketer for sharing her wife's photo saying that it is haram.
Taking to Instagram, Pathan affectionately referred to Safa as his constant companion, friend, mood lifter, comedian, troublemaker, and the loving mother of their children. "Infinite roles mastered by one soul – mood booster, comedian, troublemaker, and the constant companion, friend, and mother of my children. In this beautiful journey, I cherish you as my wife. Happy 8th my love," Pathan wrote.
This was the first time when Irfan has publicly revealed his wife's face on social media platforms. Previously, Safa Baig was always seen veiled alongside him in all of his social media posts.
Irfan Pathan and Safa exchanged vows in 2016, and their union has been blessed with two sons, Imran and Suleiman.

Another user named Syed Madani said, "Irfan bhai we never saw your wife on any post ever before that was pure love , laws & ethics what we learned what you learned from your Father & elders ... I'm not against it for anything but being Islamic is the purest & most beautiful thing in this world & also in Aakhirah. Please don't make any changes in next time I hope you understand this".
Notably, no non-Muslim netizens have raised such kind of concerns about revealing wife's face. They slammed such netizens for slamming the Indian cricketer.
